For many of us in America, the first question when we get sick isn’t, “How will I get better?” The first question is, “Can I afford this?”
High health care prices have made accessing care a challenge even for the insured, have cost workers significant wage increases, and are a substantial burden on employers’ and state government budgets; we’re calling this issue, The Price Crisis.
The Price Crisis is mobilizing a coalition of stakeholders—from corporate decision-makers to policymakers to individuals—to address this urgent issue.
The question we need to ask ourselves is, “Can we afford not to act?”
